Metaview raises $60 million as its recruiting agent fillmore reaches general availability
The British-American company Metaview, which started as a tool for taking notes from job interviews, announced on September 30, 2026 a $60 million Series C led by Insight Partners — announced at the same time as its autonomous recruiting agent fillmore becomes generally available. The round brings the company's total funding to $110 million according to the company itself, but several of the most eye-catching growth figures remain the company's own claims, not independently verified facts.
The round and who is behind it
Metaview Labs closed a $60 million Series C with Insight Partners as lead investor. Also participating were GV, Seedcamp, Vertex Ventures US, Intrepid Growth Partners, Plural and Garuda Ventures. With the round, the company has raised $110 million in total according to its own figures. The round figures are reported by both SiliconANGLE and Pulse 2.0, but both draw on the company's own announcement.
The company was founded in 2018 by Siadhal Magos (CEO) and Shahriar Tajbakhsh (CTO), both formerly of Uber and Palantir.
From notes app to end-to-end agent
Metaview's origins lie in capturing and structuring information from job interviews. The newcomer fillmore goes further: according to SiliconANGLE, the agent is now generally available and can research job candidates, build target lists, draft personalized email outreach, manage follow-ups and book meetings with interested candidates. The agent operates entirely within Slack, where recruiters can work with it conversationally.
The growth plans are ambitious: Magos says the company will grow from around 80 employees to more than 250 by the end of next year, with new hires across engineering, product, design and sales. The company is also opening an office in New York and expanding its "10x Recruiting" training program.
What is company claims — and what is confirmed
Several of the most-cited figures in the coverage come from Metaview itself and should be treated accordingly:
- 6 million interviews: SiliconANGLE first writes that the agents have "conducted" more than 6 million interviews, but elsewhere refers to them as having "captured information from" a similar number. The sources alone do not establish that the agents conducted that many interviews themselves — their role may be narrower than the headline phrasing suggests.
- 7,000+ customers: The company's own figure, including named customers such as Deel, Affirm and Replit.
- 75% shorter time-to-hire: SiliconANGLE presents the figure as applying to these customers, while the press release describes it as something that happens "in some cases." The scope of the claim is therefore uncertain.
- 412% growth in applications per recruiter: Magos claims AI has made applying for jobs so easy that application volume has exploded.
None of these figures is independently verified. The press release also frames recruiting as an $800 billion industry and claims 53% of job seekers have experienced being "ghosted" by employers in the past year — both without cited methodology, and both should be read as the company's own framing, not documented facts.
A worked example from the blog
In a blog post — republished by The Next Web — Magos describes an actual hire in which the AI researched and contacted 52 candidates and booked five first interviews. The person who was hired went from being identified as a candidate to signing an offer in 30 days. This is the company's own account, but it gives a concrete indication of how the agent workflow looks in practice.
Ryan Hinkle, managing director at Insight Partners, justified the investment this way: "The recruiting process generates more candidate volume than most organizations know how to handle. Metaview has built a platform that brings more structure and intelligence to every step of the hire, from sourcing and screening all the way through to the final decision."
The Reval acquisition and the sector's capital flow
The press release mentions an August acquisition of the AI-native recruiting company Reval. The Next Web also covers the acquisition, but SiliconANGLE and Pulse 2.0 do not, and the terms have not been disclosed. The acquisition should therefore be read as the company's own information.
Metaview is not alone in raising capital in the space. Spott recently closed a $21 million Series A led by Balderton, and Jack & Jill has raised $40 million to place AI agents on both sides of the hiring process — for both employer and job seeker. A recent survey meanwhile suggests British employers are the most skeptical of AI in recruiting.
Open questions
It remains to be seen how well fully autonomous sourcing agents work outside the company's own examples, and how much human control actually remains in agent-driven hiring processes. Nor has it been independently documented how candidates experience being contacted, followed up with and booked by an agent operating in Slack. The press release's figures on ghosting and market size should be read with the awareness that they are not supported by cited methodology. Fillmore is now available to everyone — its impact in practice remains to be measured.
